    A: Start the Crankshaft balancer replacement by removing either the accessory Drive Belt or the air conditioning Drive Belt depending on equipment. Start by removing both the lower Fan Shroud together with the Starter motor. The j 42386-a part needs to have matching teeth with the engine Flywheel teeth while the individual balance state of the Crankshaft balancer makes marking before removal unneeded. After aligning the j 42386-a with engine Flywheel teeth, install the part with a m10-1.5 x 120 mm and m10-1.5 x 45 mm bolt and tighten to 50 nm (37 lb ft). The Crankshaft balancer bolt will be set aside for reuse when installing it back. The j 41816 along with its handle j 41816-2 tool should be used for removing the Crankshaft balancer before cleaning and inspecting it. The Crankshaft balancer should sit directly on the Crankshaft prior to using j 41665 and j 41478 for installation. The smaller end of j 41478 should be inserted into the balancer while tightening the nut and threaded rod with the washer to start the balancer onto the Crankshaft. Reversing the installation tool allows you to maintain tension until the Crankshaft balancer reaches complete installation depth. Put the used Crankshaft balancer bolt into position before tightening it to 330 nm (240 lb ft) then remove it. Perform the installation process again until the Crankshaft nose reaches 2.4-4.48 mm (0.094-0.176 in) of recess into the balancer bore. Continue the Crankshaft balancer boltinstallation with j 45059 by tightening to 50 nm (37 lb ft) before setting to 140 degrees. Finish by removing the j 42386-a and bolts and then reinstall the Starter motor, lower Fan Shroud, drive belts where applicable along with performing the Crankshaft position system variation learn procedure.
