How to replace the piston, connecting rod, and bearing in a 2.2L engine on 2010 Chevrolet HHR?

To remove the piston, connecting rod, and bearing to install a 2.2L engine, remove the cylinder head and oil pan. Wipe the cylinder bores and fit the piston and connector rod in place and in proper position. Install the cylinder head and the oil pan again.
