How to balance the engine mount, motor and transmission mount on 2010 Chevrolet HHR?

The vehicle needs to be raised before applying support to begin balance operations on engine and transmission mounts. Through bolt loosening of the front transaxle mount and rear transaxle mount enables sufficient vehicle lowering. By placing two floor jacks together with wood blocks you should raise them beneath the powertrain assembly. Place both floor jacks correctly to achieve a 1/8 inch spacing between mount and bracket after they loosen transaxle mount bolts and engine mount bolts to bracket. Proceed with tightening the transaxle mount bolts to 45 nm (33 lb ft) and then perform the engine mount bolts to 50 nm (37 lb ft). Use the floor jacks to shake the powertrain from front to rear to enable proper settling before removing them from under the Oil Pan. The vehicle should be raised once more and the rear transaxle mount through bolt should be tightened to 100 nm (74 lb ft) then the front transaxle mount through bolt should follow with the same torque before finally lowering the vehicle.
