The process to replace a rear side door outside handle starts by taking off the rear door trim panel and the rear door water deflector. Set the window all the way up and protect the paint surface by placing tape around the outside handle. Open the outside handle rod so it reaches the lock clip from the Door Lock before you extract the rear Door Lock assembly. You should first remove the outside Door Handle bolt access tape before extracting the three bolts from the rear Door Handle and subsequently inserting the outside handle bolt through the latch hole. Fist separate both the Door Handle and rod before removing them from the door equipment. To install the parts you must position the outside Door Handle together with the rod within the door opening before installing the outside handle bolt through the latch hole while tightening it to 10 nm (89 lb in). The installation requires you to attach the three bolts to the rear Door Handle before tightening them to 10 nm (89 lb in). Reinstall the rear Door Lock afterward.
