    Q:
How to replace the rear outside door handle on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process of replacing a rear outside Door Handle begins with removing the rear door trim panel together with the rear door water deflector and after that position the window at the full up level. Place masking tape on the outside handle to protect the paint surface from damage. Unlock the outer handle rod to detach it from the lock clip positioned on the Door Lock before removing the rear Door Lock. You must first detach the outside Door Handle bolt access tape and then eliminate the three bolts that anchor the rear Door Handle. Remove the outside handle bolt by inserting it first through the latch hole before moving onto the outside handle followed by rod removal from the door. Install the outside Door Handle along with the rod into the door while using the outside handle bolt to pass through the latch hole and tighten it to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Secure the three bolts to the rear Door Handle keeping their torque at 10 n.m (89 lb in) before you put back the rear Door Lock. Position the outside Door Handle bolt access tape followed by inserting the outside handle rod into the clip which needs to be covered with the clip cover. Test the outside Door Handle function by removing masking tape, replace the rear door water deflector, along with its trim panel.

How to replace the rear side door handle on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of the rear side door outside handle requires beginning with removal of the rear door trim panel and the rear door water deflector. Open the window completely upwards before you apply masking tape to the exterior handle area. Open the outside handle rod to unlock the lock clip on the door before you take out the Door Lock. The installation process begins with removing the outside Door Handle bolt access tape followed by taking out the three bolts from the rear Door Handle then passing the outside handle bolt through the latch hole. First remove the outside handle combined with the rod from the door. To install the components begin by inserting the outside Door Handle as well as rod into the door opening position then tighten the outside handle bolt through the latch hole up to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Install and tighten three bolts onto the rear Door Handle until they reach 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque and install the rear Door Lock. After placing outside Door Handle bolt access tape the installer needs to insert the outside handle rod into its corresponding clip then secure the clip cover over the rod. Check the outside Door Handle function then remove tape from installation while putting back the rear door water deflector along with the rear door trim panel.
