How to replace the ignition lock cylinder on 2010 Chevrolet Impala?

To install the ignition switch lock cylinder, disconnect the negative battery cable, and turn off the SIR system. Take out the tilt lever, steering wheel and trim covers. Turn the ignition lock cylinder, grasp the retaining pin and take out the cylinder. Install the battery cable back in the reverse order.
