Loosen the valve Rocker Arm bolts before removing the rocker arms and pushrods while keeping in mind that the intake push rods measure 147.51 mm (5.81 in) but the exhaust push rods measure 154.87 mm (6.1 in). Having prelube the Pushrod ends ready for installation then push them into place until the lifter bore receives them. Apply prelube coating to all surfaces which will experience friction in the rocker arms. The usage of shims (88894006) under valve Rocker Arm pedestals might become necessary whenever the Cylinder Head or any of its components have undergone reconditioning.
