How to replace the pushrods and valve rocker arm on 2009 Chevrolet Impala?

First replace the valve Rocker Arm and push rods by taking out the valve Rocker Arm covers before placing the valve train components in a rack according to original order. The procedure starts by loosening valve Rocker Arm bolts followed by removing rocker arms and pushrods with the important measurement detail that intake push rods measure 147.51mm (5.81in) and exhaust push rods measure 154.87mm (6.1 in). Before installing the pushrods apply prelube to their ends to help them securely enter the lifter bore. The Rocker Arm friction surfaces need to be treated with prelube during this procedure. The installation may require shims (88894006) to be placed under the valve Rocker Arm pedestals when reconditioning work was done on the Cylinder Head or its components. Fix the rocker arms into place before attaching the Rocker Arm bolts which should be torqued to 34 nm (25 lb ft). Reposition the valve Rocker Arm cover(s) as the final step of the installation.
