The installation procedure starts with bolt loosening of valve rocker arms before removing the rocker arms and pushrods. The intake pushrods have a 147.51 mm (5.81 in) length and the exhaust pushrods extend to 154.87 mm (6.1 in). The installation process begins with prelube application to Pushrod ends before correct insertion into lifter bore slots where yellow-striped intake pushrods should match with the blue-striped exhaust pushrods. Prelube should be applied to all friction surfaces of the rocker arms. The installation of shims (88894006) under the valve Rocker Arm pedestals becomes necessary after the Cylinder Head or its components have undergone reconditioning. The installation process starts with fitting the rocker arms before adding the Rocker Arm bolts that should be tightened up to 34 n.m (25 lb ft). Reposition the last step by replacing the valve Rocker Arm cover(s).
