How to Remove and Replace a Parking Brake Cable on the Left Side (JH6, JH7) on 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

The first step to replace the left side parking brake rear cable (JH6, JH7) requires users to release the park brake then disable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Raise and support the vehicle. Begin the left park brake cable replacement by drilling a 3 mm (1/8 in) hole through the dimple found in the connector to detach it from the intermediate cable. Release the left park brake cable from the equalizer while compressing the locking tabs found on the cable conduit and pulling the cable in a rearward direction. Dismantle the park brake cable clip bolt then separate the park brake cable eye from the park brake actuator lever.
