How to replace the battery sensor on 2010 GMC Sierra 1500?

Begin by taking off the negative Battery Cable before replacing the battery current sensor. Mark the battery current sensor position on the cable before you set it up. Unfasten the tape holding the battery current sensor to the negative Battery Cable before moving on to locate and take off the two cable clips. You should hold the Battery Cable branches together to note the current sensor position before taking off its battery current sensor. Push the Battery Cable branches back together while you put on the new battery current sensor. Make sure to position this device correctly on the cable. Push the sensor onto the marked spot of the negative Battery Cable and hold it in place with electrical tape. Secure the negative Battery Cable clips back to their predetermined points and put the cable back in place.
