The first step to replace an Extended Cab door striker begins with removing the door lower striker bolts. Remove the spacer only if it exists before taking out the door lower striker. The first step of installation includes positioning the door lower striker before possible spacer reinstallation. You should then fasten the door lower striker bolt into position. The lower striker bolt requires twisting so its top threaded hole becomes properly aligned when the back plate of the striker has shifted. Use care with all fasteners because vehicle damage can occur after you tighten the lower striker bolts to 24 Nm (18 lb ft).
