How to replace the left side exhaust manifold on a V6 engine on 2010 GMC Sierra 1500?

Before replacing the left side v6 Exhaust Manifold the vehicle needs to be raised while being supported. After removing the Catalytic Converter to Exhaust Manifold nuts the vehicle should be lowered. The procedure starts with the removal of Exhaust Manifold heat shield bolts and shield before moving to the Spark Plug uninstallation. Depending on the situation you must move the Spark Plug Wires to another location. Cut the Exhaust Manifold bolts and stud before extracting the Exhaust Manifold along with its gaskets which go to waste. Eliminate the Exhaust Manifold to Catalytic Converter seal by discarding it at the same time. Put the new Exhaust Manifold to Catalytic Converter seal into the converter relief opening before inserting the Exhaust Manifold while attaching manifold studs to Catalytic Converter. Install new Exhaust Manifold gaskets between the manifold and the Cylinder Head and apply the specified fastener procedure. Screw in the Exhaust Manifold bolts and stud while torquing them to 30 nm (22 lb ft). Secure spark plugs following the installation of the Exhaust Manifold heat shield by installing its bolts to a torque setting of 9 nm (80 lb in). Reposition the vehicle once more before applying the Catalytic Converter to its manifold nuts with torque setting at 50 nm (37 lb ft).
