How to replace the fuel level sensor in a 15 Reg Cab with a 26-gallon tank on 2010 GMC Sierra 1500?

The first step for replacing the Fuel Level Sensor in a 15 reg cab with a 26-gallon tank is to remove the fuel tank module. The wiring pigtail electrical connector of the Fuel Level Sensor must be disconnected from the module cover followed by removing the pigtail underneath the module clip. To uninstall the Fuel Level Sensor retainers you should gently push them but release them from the module reservoir before sliding the sensor out from its module slot. Place the new Fuel Level Sensor onto the reservoir slot then drop it into position before verifying that the retainer latches properly connect with the module reservoir. The wiring pigtail should be installed under the module clip while behind the fuel pump wires before connecting the electrical connector to the module cover. The furnace installation concludes with reinstallation of the fuel tank module.
