How to replace the fuel level sensor on GMC Sierra 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The initial step for Fuel Level Sensor replacement begins with removing the fuel tank module. Detach the wiring pigtail electrical connector from the module cover before removing the pigtail through the module clip opening. Thoroughly push retainer clips on the Fuel Level Sensor to release them from the module reservoir before sliding up the sensor to remove it from the slot. Set the new Fuel Level Sensor into the slot of the reservoir before lowering it into position while ensuring the retainers connect properly to the module reservoir. The wiring pigtail for the Fuel Level Sensor should be positioned under the module clip behind the fuel pump wires and then connect its electrical connector to the module cover before reinstalling the fuel tank module.
