How to service the pushrods on Buick Century?

The initial step for servicing push rods starts with unfastening the valve Rocker Arm cover(s). You should first remove the Rocker Arm bolts before taking off each Rocker Arm while placing the properly ordered valve train parts into a rack. Take care to avoid pushrods from entering the lifter valley while removing them. The pushrods used for intake measure at 144.18 mm (5.68 inch) whereas the exhaust pushrods use 152.51 mm (6.0 inch) for their total length. The bearing surfaces of rocker arms and Rocker Arm bolts together with pushrods need prelube gm p/n 1052365 or an equivalent product where you will apply the prelube before reinstalling all parts back to their original positions. You should use prelube gm p/n 1052365 or its equivalent as a coating on Pushrod ends when you prepare to install both intake valve pushrods and exhaust valve pushrods. Install all rocker arms first before slowly tightening the Rocker Arm bolts to 14 nm (124 inch lbs.) with an additional 30-degree angle. Reconnect the valve Rocker Arm cover as the last installation step.
