To change the engine front cover, you will need to collect the resulting tools: en 46105
Camshaft locking tool (EN 46105), en 46111 crankshaft rotational socket (EN 46111), and en 46109 guide pin set (EN 46109). Start by taking out the lower
Intake Manifold, Camshaft covers, draining the engine coolant. Next, take off the water outlet housing assembly, drive belt tensioner,
Water Pump,
Power Steering Pump, and crankshaft balancer. Remove Camshaft position actuator valves and solenoid valves off the front cover then generator. Before starting the engine remove the bolts that hold the engine front cover then loosely begin by inserting a bolt 10 x 1.5mm in the "jackscrew" hole to shear the rtv sealant and bring off the front cover. Apply the en 46111 to turn in crankshaft until the camshafts are lined up according to the en 46105-1 and en 46105-2 and mount these tools on the relevant camshafts. For installation, insert the 8mm guide contained in the en 46109 to cylinder block positions apply a bead of rtv sealant and set the engine front cover. Remove the en 46109 and start all head start all front covering bolts, and tighten the bolts to 23 n.m (17 lb ft) in specified sequence. Replace the generator, Camshaft position occluding solenoid valves, Camshaft position occluding valves, the crankshaft balancer, power steering pump, water pump., water outlet assembly housing, drive belt tensioner, covers of camshafts, and finally the lower Intake Manifold. Top up the engine coolant to finalize the procedure.
