    To change the engine front cover, you will need to collect the resulting tools: en 46105 Camshaft locking tool (EN 46105), en 46111 crankshaft rotational socket (EN 46111), and en 46109 guide pin set (EN 46109). Start by taking out the lower Intake Manifold, Camshaft covers, draining the engine coolant. Next, take off the water outlet housing assembly, drive belt tensioner, water pump, power steering pump, and crankshaft balancer. Remove Camshaft position actuator valves and solenoid valves off the front cover then generator. Before starting the engine remove the bolts that hold the engine front cover then loosely begin by inserting a bolt 10 x 1.5mm in the "jackscrew" hole to shear the rtv sealant and bring off the front cover. Apply the en 46111 to turn in crankshaft until the camshafts are lined up according to the en 46105-1 and en 46105-2 and mount these tools on the relevant camshafts. For installation, insert the 8mm guide contained in the en 46109 to cylinder block positions apply a bead of rtv sealant and set the engine front cover. Remove the en 46109 and start all head start all front covering bolts, and tighten the bolts to 23 n.m (17 lb ft) in specified sequence. Replace the generator, Camshaft position occluding solenoid valves, Camshaft position occluding valves, the crankshaft balancer, power steering pump, water pump., water outlet assembly housing, drive belt tensioner, covers of camshafts, and finally the lower Intake Manifold. Top up the engine coolant to finalize the procedure.

    To replace the engine front cover you will need to check some tools for replacement: en 46105 camshaft locking tool (EN 46105), en 46111 crankshaft rotational socket (EN 46111) and en 46109 guide pin set (EN 46109). Start by removing the lower Intake Manifold, the camshaft covers, and the engine coolant draining. Besides, remove the water outlet housing assembly, drive belt tensioner and Water Pump also and Power Steering Pump set it aside. Take off the crankshaft balancer, camshaft position actuator valves, and solenoid valves from the front cover, then the engine Oil Pan and the engine front cover bolts. Tighten a 10 x 1.5 mm bolt into the "jackscrew" hole loosely before you take the pry points on the edge of the front cover and the "jackscrew" to shear the rtv sealant and remove the engine front cover. Turn the crankshaft may be with the use of en 46111 so that the left cylinder head camshafts are on the line of en 46105-2 and the right cylinder head camshafts are on the line en 46105-1. Mount the en 46105-1 to the right camshafts, and the en 46105-2 to the left camshafts. As for installation, put the 8mm (0.315 in) guide from the en 46109 to the cylinder block positions, then fit the engine front cover to cylinder block seal. Apply 3mm (0.118 in) bead of rtv sealant gen m p/n 12378521 (CA P/N 88901148) or equivalent on the engine front cover. Place the engine front cover onto the en 46109 and slide it into the position, and remove the en 46109 from the cylinder block. Hand start every front cover bolt and tighten them in numerical order to 23 n.m (17 lb ft). Finally remember re-install the engine Oil Pan, camshaft position actuator solenoid valves, camshaft position actuator valves, crankshaft balancer, Power Steering Pump, water pump, water outlet housing assembly, and drive belt tensioner, camshaft covers and lower Intake Manifold, and top it up with engine coolant.

    To replace the engine front cover, one has to remove the frame from the body, take out the engine and transmission, then remove the Intake Manifold, camshafts covers, water outlet housing assembly, drive belt tensioner, water pump pulley, power steering pump, crankshaft balancer, camshaft position sensors, and finally camshaft position actuator solenoid valves. Then, take out the generator and the engine front cover bolts, then the engine front cover deadener and then the remaining engine front cover bolts. Separate down the rtv sealant with a 10x1.5mm bolt in the "jackscrew" hole, without prying on the camshaft position sensors or the actuator. Take off the front cover of the engine, and align the Crankshaft with en 46111 tool, place en 46105-1 and en 46105-2 tools on the corresponding camshafts. For installation, insert an 8mm (0.315 inches) guide from en 46109 tool at the cylinder block position, apply a 3mm (0.118 inches) bead of rtv sealant and position the engine front cover on the en 46109 tool while removing the tool. Mount the engine front cover deadener and loosely fasten the front cover bolts before tightening them in a sequence to 20 nm (14 lb ft) and additional 60 degrees. Replace /repair the generator, camshaft position actuator solenoid valves, camshaft position sensors, crankshaft balancer, power steering pump, water pump pulley, water outlet housing assembly, drive belt tensioner, camshaft covers and Intake Manifold. Lastly, reinstall the frame with the engine and transmission according to the set instructions for proper installation.
