Q: How to replace the Coolant Reservoir (L27, LY7) on Buick LaCrosse?
A: When replacing the coolant recovery reservoir (L27, LY7), the first move is best to reposition the Coolant Reservoir hose clamp aside that is located at the radiator overflow fitting and also disconnect the Coolant Reservoir hose from the fitting. Disconnect the Coolant Reservoir hose retainer from the electrical harness and remove the lower retainer and shock tower studs nuts then remove the lower retainer from the shock tower studs and take out the lower retainer with the shock tower studs. Drain the coolant from recovery reservoir into a clean container. For installation, install the coolant recovery reservoir back on the studs and lower retainer to the shock tower, then install nuts on the studs and tighten them to 3.3 n.m (29 lb in). Surakanity reservoir hose by using clean water and fit it to the radiator overflow neck fitting at a right 90 degrees and make sure the hose end is flush with the radiator filler neck making sure the clamp is seated square between the neck and the flared end neck of the fitting. Reconnect the coaxial harness connector for the cooling fan module switch back onto the module, and connect the Coolant Reservoir hose to the radiator overflow fitting along with repositioning the Coolant Reservoir hose retained to the electrical harness before moving on the Coolant Reservoir hose clamp to the fitting. Finally, top up the coolant recovery reservoir up to the correct level.
