  • Q: How to replace the oil pump on Buick LaCrosse?
    A: You should begin by taking off the case side cover when replacing the Oil Pump. After that, use a flat-bladed tool to remove the electrical connectors from solenoid valves (315A, 315B, 322, 334, and 440), the tfp manual valve position switch (395), and the temperature sensor (391), being careful not to remove bolt (205). After that, take out the Oil Pump bolts (206, 207) and lift the Oil Pump (200) off the Valve Body (300). Put the Oil Pump (200) onto the Valve Body (300), then fasten Oil Pump bolts (206, 207), with m6 x 1 after putting all the electrical connectors back onto the solenoid valves (315a, 315b, 322, 334, and tap information should be reset with a scan tool to remove all cell values, causing the ecm, pcm, or tcm to relearn tap, which may affect the way the transmission performs. Finally, reset the tap values.
