How to replace the Dipstick Tube (LF1) on Buick LaCrosse?

The first step to replace oil level indicator tube (LF1) involves taking out the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt. Detach the indicated hole of the lower crankcase and slide out the oil level indicator along with its tube. Before proceeding discard and replace the O-ring if it shows damage on the oil level indicator tube. New O-rings should be installed onto the oil level indicator tube before sliding it through the lower crankcase hole. Notice should be taken for fasteners to secure damage-free vehicle operation. Fasten the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt into position before tightening it to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
