Begin by taking out the case side cover to start the Oil Pump replacement process. Disconnect solenoid valves (315A/315B/322/334/440) tfp manual valve position switch (395) and temperature sensor (391) connections using a flat-tooth tool while keeping bolt (205) that binds Oil Pump pieces intact. After unplugging all electrical connectors attach to the Oil Pump you should now remove the Oil Pump bolts (206, 207). Once freed securely pull out the Oil Pump (200) from Valve Body (300). .align the Oil Pump (200) with Valve Body (300) openings before inserting Oil Pump bolts (206, 207). Secure the m6 x 1.0 x 85 bolts (207) to 12 nm torque level and the m6 x 1.0 x 95 bolts (206) to 16 nm torque level. Rejoin electrical wires to the control valves beginning with 440 at solenoid 315a while closing with temperature probe 391 and valve position switch 395.

You should begin by taking off the case side cover when replacing the Oil Pump. After that, use a flat-bladed tool to remove the electrical connectors from solenoid valves (315A, 315B, 322, 334, and 440), the tfp manual valve position switch (395), and the temperature sensor (391), being careful not to remove bolt (205). After that, take out the Oil Pump bolts (206, 207) and lift the Oil Pump (200) off the Valve Body (300). Put the Oil Pump (200) onto the Valve Body (300), then fasten Oil Pump bolts (206, 207), with m6 x 1 after putting all the electrical connectors back onto the solenoid valves (315a, 315b, 322, 334, and tap information should be reset with a scan tool to remove all cell values, causing the ecm, pcm, or tcm to relearn tap, which may affect the way the transmission performs. Finally, reset the tap values.

Service operations on the oil pick up/strainer require the left bank idler sprocket to stay where it is. Start by removing the main Timing Chain then proceed with the crankshaft sprocket. Preventive measures start with removing the Oil Pump bolts before extracting the Oil Pump itself. Disassemble the Oil Pump when necessary before performing cleaning and examination. During installation first put the Oil Pump components back together when necessary and place it in position until you reinstall the crankshaft sprocket and primary Timing Chain.

Start the transmission bypass valve replacement on 5l40-e automatic transmissions by elevating your vehicle then positioning a suitable catch pan beneath it. First detach the transmission oil cooler lines from the bypass valve by unbolt its connection and additionally undo the oil cooler line retainer engine block bolt to place the lines safely aside. You should detach and set aside the oxygen sensor wire harness bracket when it is attached to the bypass valve stud. The transmission bypass valve retaining bolt/stud needs removal before extracting the bypass valve from its transmission position. The first step for installation requires you to place new seals onto the transmission bypass valve before you put the bypass valve back in its place. Place the bypass valve bolt or stud into position before tightening it to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) and put back the oxygen sensor wire harness bracket to the stud when applicable. Reinstall the brake caliper but position the oil cooler line bracket against the engine block and link up transmission oil cooler lines with the bypass valve and remove the drain pan while lowering the car. Conclude transmission filling process per specifications then do a leak inspection.

These tools are needed for servicing the oil pick up/strainer as well as Oil Pump replacement: j 45059 angle meter. J 45059 angle meter. Start with engine front cover removal before uninstalling the bigger-headed retaining bolts (1, 2, 3) securing the Oil Pump assembly. Set the engine front cover into position.

Next, take out the oil pump bolts (205-207) and then remove the oil pump (200) from the valve body (300).
