You need to lift your vehicle using a suitable support to begin sensor replacement. After removing the tire and wheel assembly users should carefully detach the tire from the rim while protecting the clear coating on aluminum wheels to prevent corrosion and peeling. The installation requires a brand new tire pressure monitor (TPM) and a fresh TORX screw. Leverage the TORX screw to separate the tire pressure sensor from the tire pressure valve stem followed by pulling it directly off its position. Pull the tire pressure valve stem through the rim opening after you have removed it. Complete the tire pressure sensor assembly on the valve stem while installing the NEW TORX screw because both the TPM valve and TORX screws function only as one-time items. Choose a tire mounting lubricant with prior approval but avoid substances with silicon or corrosive base compounds which trigger slippage or destroy tire components. Rub the tire soap onto the rubber section where the valve stem meets the tire. The Snap Fit TPM sensors come with an OFF mode setting that automatically turns to ON when a tire undergoes inflation enabling regular vehicle programming.
