  A: Head to the replacement of the Steering Angle Sensor or steering shaft lower bearing by first disabling the sir system. First separate the Steering Column from your vehicle. Pull the boot seal and steering shaft seal and sensor retainer and sensor locator off the steering shaft. Along with the boot seal and steering shaft seal you must remove the sensor retainer and sensor locator from the components. Next follow up with sensor Steering Angle Sensor removal. Start with positioning the Steering Angle Sensor directly onto the steering shaft, then continue with installation of the sensor locator, sensor retainer, steering shaft seal, and boot seal. Put back the Steering Column into the car before you activate the sir system.
