Begin by removing the stabilizer shaft links followed by rotating the stabilizer shaft down. Start by removing the plastic clip from the power steering gear heat shield then disconnect the holding bolts to ultimately remove the heat shield. Mount the new power steering gear heat shield by following the fastener notice in service precautions. Place the retaining bolts on the heat shield before tightening them to 9 nm (79 inch lbs.). Afterward, reattach the plastic clip to its position on the heat shield. Reinstall stabilizer shaft links after lowering the vehicle down.
