    A: Replace the Rack And Pinion Boot off the vehicle using the j22610 keystone clamp pliers (J22610). Start by removing the outer tie rod assembly and follow by unscrewing the hex jam nut on the inner tie rod first detach the tie rod end clamp from the Rack and Pinion Boot. Cut away the boot clamp with side cutters before disposal. The Rack and Pinion Boot needs removal from the Rack And Pinion gear assembly. Installation starts by affixing a new boot clamp onto the Rack and Pinion Boot and after applying grease to both the inner tie rod assembly and the Rack And Pinion gear assembly, position the new Rack and Pinion Boot on the inner tie rod assembly. Check for any shape abnormalities or twisting or puckering in the Rack and Pinion Boot before installation. Manual adjustment of the boot is needed before placing it into its proper position in the gear assembly. Use the j22610 to install the boot clamp on the Rack and Pinion Boot then crimp it. Lock down the Rack and Pinion Boot with pliers while installing the tie rod end clamp before putting back the hex jam nut to the inner tie rod assembly .
