Pull the cooler line out directly from the quick connect fitting after discarding the retaining ring. The installation of new retaining rings necessitates completely fresh replacement of all oil lines together with both their fittings and rings. Position one open end of the new retaining ring through the slot of the quick connect fitting then rotate it counterclockwise until all three slots accept its ear parts.
