Before adding the new Thermostat and the Thermostat Housing you should clean the gasket mating surfaces together with the housing and intake port. Tighten down Thermostat Housing bolts to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.) torque or less. To finish the repair you must reinstall the inlet Radiator Hose while clamping it then refill the cooling system before putting back the engine cover.
