Buick LeSabre Water Pump is one of many elements which is essential for the proper functioning of Buick LeSabre vehicles. This Water Pump is used to pump coolant from the radiator to the engine compartment as a method of removing heat produced during combusting. The Buick LeSabre Water Pump mechanism is a belt-driven Water Pump with an impeller; however, newer models are more advanced and use electric Water Pump systems. A properly functioning Water Pump is essential since the failure of this part may manifest through its leakage, noise coming from bearings, and overly heated engine, which will, in one way or another, affect the vehicle. This Buick LeSabre Water Pump fits and can be used for most models of LeSabre manufactured between 1959 and 2005. However, what may be seen as optional features include the OEM high-performance Water Pumps that are made specifically for high-performance engine and have a much higher coolant flow rate, and are more efficient in power usage all of which add to the fun factor of the drive. Furthermore, electric Water Pumps also have some special features that support the durability of the engine with functions of coolant circulation and the engine cooling after stopping the engine. Among the many automobile items, the Buick LeSabre Water Pump has been known to be a reliable, performance oriented and innovative part, and has indeed helped the Buick LeSabre to be regarded as a reliable and performance oriented car for most of its production years.

Buick LeSabre Water Pump Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair a water pump on Buick LeSabre?
    A:
Begin your Water Pump work by disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Detach the coolant from the system and take off the Drive Belt. After disconnecting the Battery Cable and draining the coolant you need to remove all bolts from the Water Pump Pulley and its unit. Pull out the two Water Pump mounting bolts (1, 2) and simply take away the Water Pump. Prepare both parts before putting a new gasket and Water Pump back onto engine base. Fasten Water Pump bolts (1, 2) by torquing the short bolts to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.) and the long bolts to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Attach the Water Pump Pulley to its base and bolt it down with torque of 13 nm. Put on the Drive Belt then reconnect the battery and complete coolant service. Check for any coolant leakage.
