The first step to change an A/C Orifice Tube requires collecting all refrigerant from the system. You should first remove the evaporator hose from the accumulator cover before starting to loosen the fitting at the A/C Orifice Tube location until you can separate the hose at that point. You should remove the A/C Orifice Tube from the evaporator hose before discarding the O-rings which are installed on the hose. The evaporator hose installation requires an O-ring followed by the new A/C Orifice Tube placement while verifying that the short screen and arrow need to face the evaporator. Fasten the evaporator hose fitting with 24 N.m torque force (18 lb ft). Transfer the evaporator hose over the accumulator cover and use a firm press to activate it. Evacuate along with recharging the A/C framework then scan the fittings of the A/C component using the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A).
