Buick Park Avenue Antenna Cable Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the antenna cable on Buick Park Avenue?
A: Installation of the new coaxial cable starts with taking off the left sail panel before disconnecting the antenna module's coaxial cable. First remove the rear shelf trim panel alongside the rear seat cushion and seat back and front seat. Then remove the left closeout/insulator panel. Follow the Antenna Cable path to disconnect it from the radio before you can access the main body wiring harness underneath the carpet fold. Be sure not to sever the coaxial cable that connects to the main body harness. Trim the ends of the cable near the rocker panel at the body harness but leave the original cable intact. When installing the new antenna coaxial cable place it next to the harness and secure it to the body wiring harness with tape. Connect the antenna coaxial cable to the radio followed by connecting it to the antenna module. After finishing the installation replace all the carpet along with the front seat, rear seat back, rear seat cushion and rear shelf trim panel and left rear sail trim panel.
