How to replace the catalytic converter on a 4.2L engine on Buick Rainier?

A vehicle requires lifting for the replacement of its Catalytic Converter in 4.2l engines. Caretfully detach the heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) and the Catalytic Converter pipe nuts from the Exhaust Manifold while discarding both the old exhaust seal for disposal. The replacement sequence starts by removing nuts which attach the Catalytic Converter pipe to both the Muffler and the transmission mount. Next use tools to extract both the Catalytic Converter pipe and its attached Exhaust Hanger. The process begins with attaching the Exhaust Hanger to the Catalytic Converter pipe before reinstalling this pipe onto the vehicle's frame. The transmission mount will be replaced and the converter pipe needs installation to connect with the Muffler. Use hand threading to reach the exhaust flange first then tighten both nuts to 45 n.m (33 lb ft) to achieve joint alignment and prevent exhaust leakage.
