  • Q: How to replace the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on Buick Rainier?
    A: To remove old IMT Sensor look down at the location where it is attached to the air box or air inlet tube. Disconnect this. The electrical connector should be disconnected first from the electric wire into the IMT Sensor. If it won't disconnect then you can wiggle the connector off the wire. This is done to break the two weaved together from each other. Then the black ridged wire should be there. This is the IMT Sensor. You can now disconnect the intake pipe on the throttle body. You may need to pull the air inlet tube harness straight up and out... should come right off. You now have Next, take out the sensor when it comes to the IMT from the air duct by twisting and pulling it. For installation, insert the IMT sensor into the air duct by pushing and twisting, as well as reconnect the electrical connector socket to the IMT sensor.
