How to service and repair the air cleaner fresh air hose and replace the air cleaner outlet resonator on Buick Rainier?

Start by loosening the clamps holding the air cleaner outlet duct and air cleaner outlet resonator before proceeding with air cleaner fresh air duct/hose servicing and air cleaner outlet resonator replacement. Drain the air cleaner outlet duct from its connection on the resonator then unscrew the two engine bolts which secure the resonator. First remove the crankcase ventilation hose by disconnecting it from both the valve cover port and the electrical connection of the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. First, remove the air cleaner outlet resonator assembly from the engine location. Connect the electrical connector to the iat sensor before you mount the air cleaner outlet resonator assembly on the engine position the crankcase ventilation hose at the valve cover port. Also setting up the air cleaner outlet resonator for the Throttle Body assembly fit. Use 6 n.m (53 lb in) torque when you install and tighten the two air cleaner outlet resonator engine bolts. Position the air cleaner outlet duct accurately to the air cleaner outlet resonator before tightening both clamps to 4 n.m (35 lb in).
