How to replace the fuel filler hose on Buick Rainier?

The replacement process for the Fuel Filler Hose begins with removing both the fuel fill cap and fuel fill pipe housing. Raise the vehicle securely while removing the fuel fill pipe bracket nut. The procedure begins with unbolting the fuel fill pipe ground strap then loosening the fuel hose clamp. The separation of the fuel hose must occur from the tank while using a cap to seal the exposed Fuel Tank end. Start by cutting off the push pin fastener then remove the fuel filler pipe from its place on the vehicle. To reinstall the pipe fit it into position on the vehicle and fasten it by using the push pin fastener . Before filling the tank uncork it and attach the fuel hose while tightening the fuel fill hose clamp to 2.5 n.m (22 lb in). Secure the ground strap bolt for the fuel fill pipe by tightening it to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Tighten the fuel fill pipe bracket nut with a torque of 10 n.m corresponding to 89 lb in at the bottom of the vehicle. Reinstall both the fuel fill pipe housing along with the fuel fill cap at the end of the process.
