How to replace the primary and secondary hood latch on Buick Regal?

Mark the Hood Latch at the Hood Latch support bracket using a grease pencil before starting the hood primary and secondary latch replacement. Take off the Hood Latch by disassembling its supporting bolts from the bracket. Handle the Hood Latch release cable with care since crimping it is not acceptable and disconnect it by firmly applying pressure to its retaining cable and placing it elsewhere. First disconnect the Hood Latch from the vehicle then install the release cable on the new latch while following the marks previously made on the support bracket. Screw the Hood Latch into position using the bolts attached to the center support bracket while torquing them to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Gather the hood and set it into its proper position before fully sealing it.
