How to properly maintain the Throttle Position Sensor on Buick Regal?

Service of the Throttle Position Sensor begins with fuel injector sight shield removal followed by an electrical disconnect of the Throttle Position Sensor connector. Begin by undoing the 2 tp sensor screws and pulling out the tp sensor. Set the tp sensor onto the Throttle Body assembly before screw installation using gm p/n 12345493 thread-locking compound (Canadian P/N 10953488 or equivalent). Reconnect the tp sensor electrical connector then secure its screws to 2 n.m (18 lb in). In the last step reinstall the fuel injector sight shield.
