How to replace the rear Door Latch Assembly on Buick Rendezvous?

You must remove the two components to access the rear door latch replacement. Start by taking the trim panel off followed by removing the water deflector. The first step to make rear door inside handle rod removal possible is to detach both rods from the inside handle. Beyond that disconnect the clip which joins the outside handle rod to the door latch. Start by detaching the electrical connectors followed by taking out screws from the rear door latch. Detach the rear door latch from the door structure without separating the attached inside handle rods from their positions in the access hole of the inner panel and then remove these inside handle rods from the latch. You should mount the inside handle rods onto the rear door latch after which you can insert the latch through the opening on the inner panel of the rear door. Reinstate the electrical connectors to the latch before tightening the rear door latch screws to 10 n.m (89 lb in). You can install the handle rods to the inside Door Handle after connecting the clip for the outside handle rod. After putting back the water deflector and trim panel, check that the rear door latch system functions as it should.
