How to replace the trunk latch on Buick Rendezvous?

Start replacing the liftgate latch by opening the liftgate and taking off its trim panel. Detach the electrical connector from the liftgate latch then remove the bolts that secure it. Pull out the liftgate latch from its installation inside the liftgate. Secure the new liftgate latch on top of the liftgate by installing bolts and tightening them to 10 n.m. Connect the electrical connector back to the liftgate latch then put the liftgate trim panel back in place right before shutting the liftgate.
