Buick Rendezvous Shift Solenoid Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the 1-2 Shift Solenoid Valve on Buick Rendezvous?
    A:
The replacement process of the 1-2 Shift Solenoid valve starts with removing the case side cover and subsequent disconnection of the transaxle wiring harness. Use a torque wrench to install the newly replaced 1-2 Shift Solenoid (315A) after you have removed its predecessor (315A). Reroute the transaxle wiring harness afterward then place the case side cover back on its original position. A scan tool should be used to reset transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) values because this operation removes every learned value from each cell while the ecm or pcm or tcm will need to relearn tap values affecting transmission performance. Reset the tap values as the last step.
