How to service and repair the coolant reservoir on Cadillac Catera?

Start coolant reservoir repair by draining about half of the coolant content. Start by removing surge tank hoses and surge tank clip from the system. Press the surge tank inward towards the wheelhouse panel until all tabs separate then detach the low coolant level switch connector . Surge tanks intended for reuse need mild soap-water cleaning before use. On installation mount the low coolant level switch connector then insert the surge tank tabs into the wheelhouse panel openings. After attaching the surge tank clip and surge tank hoses you must fill up the cooling system.
