In order to replace the air bag clock spring, it is necessary to disable the sir system. Remove the air bag clock spring as well as the Steering Wheel nut while marking all the alignment marks on the Steering Shaft and the Steering Wheel. Remove the Steering Wheel, proceed to take off two torx(R) head screws of the lower shroud and take off the lower shroud. Next, undo two torx(R) head screws from the upper shroud and remove the upper shroud. Detach the wire harness straps from the Steering Wheel column wire harness and remove the retaining ring and the air bag clock spring from the Steering Shaft. Secure the upper shroud by two torx(r) head screws and tighten them as 1.5 n.m (13 lb in), and then install the lower shroud and secure with two torx(r) head screws and tighten to 1.5 n.m (13 lb in). Center the tilt lever in the steering column up and slip the tilt lever handle into the steering column until it locks and feed the wiring through the Steering Wheel. In the state already mentioned, adjust the Steering Wheel to occupy a tag on the Steering Shaft and bolt it onto the shaft and tighten the bolt to 41 n.m (30 lb. Ft). Finally, install the air bag clock spring, and turn on the sir system.
