How to replace the steering wheel on Cadillac DeVille?

To replace the steering wheel firstly turn off SIR system and remove the inflating restraint steering wheel module. Mount the steering wheel on the steering shaft by screwing it. Rotate the steering wheel to lock it in place on the shaft. Then, replace the steering wheel retaining nut. Reconnect the steering wheel electrical connector. Mount the Steering Wheel Puller Legs (J42578) and the Steering Wheel Puller (J1859-A) onto the steering wheel, and use these tools to pull the steering wheel off. Following the removal, remove Steering Wheel Puller Legs (J42578) and Steering Wheel Puller (J1859-A). For installation, run the wiring through the steering wheel, and line-up the splines on the steering wheel with those on the shaft, and install the steering wheel onto the upper shaft. Mount the steering wheel retaining nut and tighten it 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs) and complete the installation of steering wheel electrical connector and the inflation restraint steering wheel module. Finally, enable the SIR system.
