How to replace the Steering Column Seal on the intermediate shaft on Cadillac DeVille?

To replace the seal on the intermediate Steering Shaft, first remove the Steering Column and the intermediate steering, as well as, taking off the vacuum Brake Booster. Remove the fuel lines attached to the under hood fasteners to access the Steering Shaft seal retaining bolts and remove them and take out the intermediate Steering Shaft seal from the vehicle. For installation, insert the new intermediate shaft seal into the vehicle and ensure that it is aligned with the holes on the floor pan; fix with the intermediate shaft seal bolts tight up to 3 nm (27 inch lbs.). Install the fuel bundle back into the under hood fasteners, vacuum Brake Booster then followed by the Steering Column/intermediate Steering Shaft. Perform installation, then use the steering and ensure there is no binding between the intermediate Steering Shaft and the intermediate Steering Shaft seal.
