How to service and repair the Steering Angle Sensor on Cadillac DeVille?

To service and repair the Steering Angle Sensor you will need to first determine the type of steering wheel position sensor as shown from the offered illustrations. Check the type of sensor, indicating that the front of the sensor will be on the right. There is no need for the centering if the existing sensor is used for reuse. Disconnect sensor connector and remove the sensor from the adapter and bearing assembly. When installing the sensor, there should be a front that comes with a foam ring, a pin hole for the centering pin, and a flush rotor flange cuff . In case of reuse of the sensor, draw an alignment mark on the rotor flange cuff before removing to avoid misalignment during installation. For a new sensor, it will be with a pin installed; be sure not to remove it until it is in the sensor. Position the sensor beside the Steering Shaft and fasten it to the adapter and bearing assembly, as well as connect the sensor.
