How to replace the Dipstick Tube and oil level indicator on Cadillac DeVille?

The oil level indicator tube replacement begins by removing the oil level indicator and secondary AIR valve bracket bolt but not including the oil level indicator tube nut. Pull the tube from the crankcase by loosening this nut. The procedure requires changing the oil level indicator tube O-ring before installation of the oil level indicator tube according to the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. You need to install the AIR valve bracket bolt before you tighten the oil level indicator tube nut to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) and the secondary AIR valve bracket bolt to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.). Put the oil level indicator into place as the last step.
