Cadillac DeVille Engine Mount Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service and repair the front engine mount on Cadillac DeVille?
A: The front Engine Mount requires removal at the beginning followed by turning off the 2 upper bolts (Wrench) that link the mount bracket to the Cylinder Head afterward you must detach the 2 nuts (Socket) securing this bracket to the engine block. Begin by taking out the bolt (Socket) which affixes the brace to the transaxle and the transaxle support brace followed by the front Engine Mount Bracket. Install the front Engine Mount Bracket to the engine by first placing it against the Cylinder Head and loosely screwing in the 2 upper bolts with wrench. Subsequent to reading the fastener notice in service precautions the installer can begin attaching the transaxle support brace yet leave the bracket nuts and brace loose. The installation requires torque tightening the lower Engine Mount Bracket nuts to 41 nm (30 ft. Lbs.) and the transaxle support brace bolt to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) while tightening the 2 upper Engine Mount Bracket bolts also to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Set the front Engine Mount into place as the last step.
