Q: How to replace the right engine mount on 2002 Cadillac DeVille?
A: The replacement of the right Engine Mount starts with vehicle lifting and wheel removal of the right front section followed by engine assembly jack support. The engine assembly needs supporting with a jack while you detach its attachment to the Engine Mount Bracket with the appropriate nut. Proceed to lower the jack beforehand until the engine touches down safely before you remove the support tool. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank before disconnecting the right Engine Mount from both the frame rail with a nut and bolt then the two nuts running between the mount and frame rail. The first action is to lower the vehicle and after that remove surge tank retaining bolts before safe placement. After removing the frame rail bolt retaining screws raise the car body again. You can remove the right Engine Mount when the frame rail bolts provide enough clearance because pushing them upwards while the mount top tilts away from the vehicle. Install the right Engine Mount onto the right motor mount support bracket by clearing it using frame rail bolt pressure while rotating it into correct placement before lowering the vehicle. Raise the vehicle afterward by installing the frame rail retaining screws at 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Place a suitable jack under the engine assembly to elevate it before you attach the right Engine Mount attaching bolt and nut to the frame rail. Screw both right Engine Mount nuts to the body rail at 70 nm torque before fitting the right Engine Mount Bracket's nut at 80 nm torque. Use the engine support jack to remove it while putting on the right front wheel then reducing the vehicle height and finishing with surge tank installation.
