    Q:
How to replace the right engine mount bracket on Cadillac DeVille? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the right Engine Mount Bracket begins by lifting and supporting the vehicle then removing the right front wheel. A suitable jack should support the engine assembly before a nut is removed that holds the right Engine Mount to the right Engine Mount Bracket. The Power Steering Hose needs a nut removing from the right Engine Mount Bracket before slightly lowering the jack to let the engine drop. The right Engine Mount Bracket requires removal by detaching its four engine-mounting bolts to the engine before pulling it free. The installation process of the right Engine Mount Bracket requires mounting it to the engine before tightening its four bolts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Tighten the nut which attaches the power steering pressure hose to the right Engine Mount Bracket at 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Using engine lifters slowly raise the engine until it reaches the proper position and then install the right Engine Mount Bracket nut which should be tightened to 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). Complete the procedure by first removing the engine support jack before installing the right front wheel and allowing the vehicle to drop down.

For installation, the mount should be positioned to the mount bracket and attaching nuts mounted and followed by the fastener notice in service precautions. Connect the mount to the bracket with the 2 nuts tightening them to 50 nm (36 ft. Lbs.), then the lowering of the engine/Transmission Assembly into position and the installing of the 2 nuts securing the mount to the frame also tightening it to 50 nm (36 ft. Lbs.).
