How to replace the rear Motor and Transmission Mount on 2002 Cadillac DeVille?

Begin by lifting the vehicle using suitable methods before jacking up the engine assembly for replacement of the rear automatic transmission mount. Crawl under the beneath the car and loosen the nuts connecting the transmission mount to the transmission mount bracket. Then adjust the jack height to raise the engine assembly from its position on the engine frame. After removing the bolts and nut which hold the mount to the frame you can extract the mount. Start by mounting the device first and apply the bolts before adding the nut to fasten the mount to the frame structure. Maintain a torque of 70 Nm (52 ft-lbs) during this process. Insert the transmission into position then tighten the mount nuts to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.) on both the mount and the mount bracket. After finishing remove the engine assembly support jack and let the vehicle drop to the ground.
